A closer look.
A clearer way forward.

Investigation, evidence analysis and recovery support tailored to the circumstances of cryptocurrency loss.

Focused on the facts

Understand what the evidence can tell you.

Every situation starts with a question: what happened to the assets, and what can reasonably be done next? The initial assessment helps establish whether the available information can support a useful investigation.

The exact services, supported chains, report format and timetable are confirmed in a written scope before work begins.

01 / TRACE

Blockchain investigations

Review publicly available transaction records to understand asset movements, relevant addresses and potential destinations.

Depending on the evidence and supported network, the agreed work may include transaction-path mapping, chronology and identification of possible exchange or service touchpoints. Address attribution can be uncertain and is explained as such.

A transaction trail does not establish the identity of a person on its own.

02 / EXAMINE

Evidence analysis

Organise incident records into a coherent account: transaction identifiers, relevant communications, website references and the sequence of events.

The objective is to distinguish verified facts from assumptions and identify gaps that may affect an investigation. Any deeper examination of devices or accounts requires a separately agreed scope and appropriate authorisation.

03 / EXPLAIN

Investigation reporting

Present the findings in a clear format, with supporting references, methodology, uncertainties and limitations.

A report may help you explain the incident to an exchange, an independent legal adviser or the relevant authorities. Acceptance and use of a report are determined by the recipient; no outcome is promised.

04 / SUPPORT

Recovery support

Consider practical next steps in light of the findings, including preparation of evidence for relevant third parties.

CERECA cannot reverse blockchain transactions, compel an exchange to release funds or issue seizure orders. Recovery may depend on asset availability, third-party cooperation and lawful action by authorised parties.

Legal advice and representation require an appropriately qualified independent adviser. Any referral or additional cost should be disclosed before you decide.

Clear scope. Clear expectations. Fees, deliverables, estimated timing and any additional costs are agreed before an engagement. Investigation fees pay for the agreed work, not a guaranteed recovery. Read our FAQs →
